SAN ANTONIO – Nov. 19, 2021 – ‘Tis the season of giving and Community First is hosting a Stuff the Pantry, food & small toy/stocking stuffer donation drive in collaboration with Community First’s local Food Pantry initiative! The Stuff the Pantry donation drive will run until Friday, December 17, 2021. This year, in addition to non-perishable items, Community First is asking for the community to give small toy/stocking stuffer donations as well.
“The pandemic has shown that food insecurity is present in all communities and families have needed to make hard choices.” says Theresa Scepanski, President and CEO, Community First Health Plans, “I hope that our Food Pantries can bring joy to all families that are seeking additional help during the holidays.“
Many San Antonio families not only face food insecurity, but they also struggle to provide gifts for their children during the holiday season. Community First wants to help bridge this gap by providing families with access to food and small toys/stocking stuffers for the holidays.
If you are interested in making a difference in the life of a family, please donate non-perishable items or small toys/stocking stuffers at any Community First Food Pantry. Majority of Community First pantries are located outdoors, so please ensure all toy donations are small to fit inside the weatherproof pantries. There are 7 food pantries installed locally with more being installed each month.
