8th Annual VIVA SA 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run is Back!

The 8th annual event brings together families and athletes of all abilities to support the Junior League of San Antonio’s work with more than 60 nonprofits.

SAN ANTONIO – March 10, 2020  — The 8th Annual ¡VIVA! SA 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020, 8 AM at Hemisfair. This family-friendly event brings together athletes of all abilities to support the Junior League of San Antonio (JLSA) work with more than 60 nonprofit organizations. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to receive race perks and swag. Registration is available up until and on the day of the event.

Running enthusiasts and JLSA supporters who attend can participate in the 3.1-mile or 6.2-mile courses that run through downtown San Antonio. The runners’ route will start at Hemisfair, go down along the San Antonio River and loop around Blue Star to finish back at Hemisfair. This is a perfect fun run for first-time runners. Stay after the race for the post-race celebration including, drinks, food, fun, and prizes!

As always, participants are encouraged to form a team, bringing together family, friends, with your friendly pets, and strollers, challenge themselves to complete the course and raise additional funds for the All-Women League.

Prizes will be awarded for most decorated festive shoes, plus awards for King + Queen for best festive attire, best festive child racer attire, and best group attire!
